|a L'oeuvre de Michel Houellebecq -qui fait partie des textes les plus vendus et les plus polémiques de la littérature française dans le marché argentin- est arrivée en Argentine par l'intermédiaire des maisons d'édition espagnoles Anagrama et Alfaguara : la langue-culture d'arrivée de ces traductions est l'espagnol péninsulaire mais le récepteur est un lecteur argentin. Notre analyse abordera une comparaison de ces traductions avec leurs originaux respectifs pour explorer quel est leur impact dans la réception de ces textes en Argentine : est-ce que le style de Houellebecq est apprécié de la même façon par les lecteurs espagnols que par les lecteurs argentins ? Les aspects de l'oeuvre houellebecquienne qui ont suscité l'intérêt de la critique argentine se voient-ils influencés par la traduction espagnole?

|a Michel Houellebecq's work, which has its place among the most controversial literary French best sellers in the Argentinian market, found its way into Argentina with Spanish publishing houses Anagrama and Alfaguara; the landing language and culture of these translations being Peninsular Spanish but the target audience being the Argentinian reader. Our analysis will compare these translations with their corresponding source texts to explore their impact in the reception of these texts in Argentina. Do Spanish and Argentinian readers have the same appreciation of Houellebecq's style? Were the aspects of Houellebecq's work that caught the interest of the Argentinian critics influenced by the European translations?
