|a El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar un estado del arte de las interpretaciones realizadas sobre la obra de Edmund Burke durante el siglo XXI y reconocer los principales elementos de su pensamiento. Para ello será necesario comenzar conociendo al pensador y el particular contexto en el que desarrolló su obra, para luego avanzar hacia los debates abiertos en el presente siglo por esta y finalizar con la explicitación de ciertos elementos que creemos pueden ayudar a clarificar el valor y posicionamiento de la filosofía burkeana en el pensamiento político moderno.
