Abordamos los distintos conceptos y su evolución a través del tiempo; analizamos los diferentes servicios ofrecidos por bibliotecas universitarias del mundo, y por último, planteamos una serie de recomendaciones para la implementación de un servicio de referencia virtual por chat en bibliotecas universitarias argentinas
