|a El presente trabajo expone algunas líneas teóricas sobre el cuerpo, provenientes de los Estudios de Género y del psicoanálisis. Se enfatiza el presupuesto de un binarismo excluyente como criterio natural de clasificación. En este marco, se analiza el modo en que Judith Butler critica aquellas conceptualizaciones sobre el cuerpo en tanto natural, pre-cultural y estable. Se ofrecen concepciones que entienden el cuerpo en términos de construcción social, luida y contingente. Principalmente, se hace referencia al cuerpo como efecto discursivo que permite develar el modo en que la categoría de sexo se construye a partir de ideales de género al tiempo que impone restricciones a las formas en que lo concebimos. Se concluye que, si bien la transversalidad de la categoría de género permite construir marcos interpretativos en relación al cuerpo, el pensamiento de Judith Butler permite instalar fuertes críticas en lo que refiere a la constitución de la morfología corporal, las cuales permiten desafiar la naturalización y la hetero-designación para abrir aspectos novedosos que van más allá de las restricciones que los ideales de género imponen al sexo.

|a This paper presents some ideas on theories of the body, taken from Gender Studies and psychoanalysis. Emphasis is placed on the assumption that there are natural classification criteria based on exclusive binarism. Within this framework, the way in which Judith Butler criticizes conceptualizations of the body as natural, precultural and stable is stressed. Conceptions of the body as fluid, contingent and socially constructed are presented. Mainly, reference is made to the body as discursive effect that allows disclosure of the way in which the category of sex is constructed based on gender ideals, while at the same time it imposes restrictions on the ways we conceive of it. It is concluded that, although gender as a cross-cutting category allows one to construct other interpretative frameworks regarding the body, Judith Butler's thinking directs strong criticism a the constitution of sexual morphology. This, in turn, allows one to challenge the naturalization and heterodesignation in order to view new aspects beyond the restrictions that gender ideals impose on sex.
