AB  - En el marco de la recepción argentina de la obra del escritor y naturalista W. H. Hudson, retomada desde sectores estética e ideológicamente divergentes, se indagará aquí la temprana recuperación de su figura en la revista ornitológica El hornero. En primer lugar, se intentará reponer el singular ejercicio naturalista ensayado por Hudson y observar cómo la heterogeneidad de sus intereses dialoga con las objetivos multifacéticos de la Sociedad Ornitológica del Plata, fundadora de El hornero. En segundo lugar, se abordarán las diferentes estrategias de traducción e incorporación desus artículos naturalistas, que van modificándose en relación  a los cambiosexperimentados por la recepción de Hudson en la escena literaria nacional, entre un primer interés más estrictamente ornitológico (a partir del agregado de notas científicas y de fotografías inéditas) hasta un interés cultural ampliado que le permite a la revista participar de los homenajes que se radicalizan en torno al Centenario de su nacimiento en 1941.
AB  - In the context of the Argentine reception of the writer and naturalist W. H. Hudson's work, read from aesthetically and ideologically divergent sectors, the early recovery of his figure in the ornithological magazine El hornero will be investigated here. In the first place, we will try to recompose Hudson's singular naturalistic exercise and observe how the heterogeneity of his interests dialogues with the multifaceted objectives of the Plata Ornithological Association, founder of El hornero. Second, we will consider the different strategies of translation and incorporation of his naturalistic articles, which are modified in relation to the changes experienced by Hudson's reception in the nationalliterary scene. We will notice a first interest that is more strictly ornithological (expressed in the  addition of scientific notes and unpublished photographs) and secondly an expanded cultural interest that allows the magazine to participate in the tributes that increase around the Centenary of his birth in 1941.
