AB  - A partir del análisis de su significado, el trabajo muestra que la inclusión del concepto "competencias" en la educación se inscribe no sólo en una pedagogía tecnicista, de resabio conductista, sino en la tradición humanista que disimula el gobierno de la miseria cantando laudatoriamente al hombre y sus facultades, separándolo del saber y de la técnica, del mundo científico y técnico que es nuestro mundo. A esta propuesta, el trabajo opone una reflexión sobre el saber como factor definitorio de la educación y de la formación de ciudadanos verdaderamente críticos y preparados para disputar poder en el juego social.
AB  - Starting by the analysis of the meaning of "competence", this paper shows that the inclusion of this concept in education applies not only to a technicist pedagogy (a behaviourist remain) but also to the humanist tradition which disguises the government of poverty by embracing man and his abilities, while separating him from knowledge and technique, from the scientific and technical world, which is our world. This paper opposes the proposition above through a reflexion upon knowledge as a key factor in education and in the making of truly critical citizens ready to challenge power in the social game.
