AB  - En este artículo me propongo demostrar, rectificando los análisis propuestos por Byung-Chul Han en Psychopolitik y por Giorgio Agamben en Il Regno e la Gloria, tres tesis correlativas: 1) la política occidental es originariamente psicopolítica; 2) la psicopolítica se ha constituido a partir de una preeminencia de la vida (la psyche como hálito vital) y una correlativa exclusión inclusiva del eidolon (la psyche como imagen del difunto); 3) este proceso encuentra su formulación paradigmática en Platón, quien identifica a la psyche con la esencia viviente del hombre y a la política con el gobierno de los seres vivos.
AB  - The aim of this article is to demonstrate, while revising the analyses proposed by Byung-Chul Han in Psychopolitik and Giorgio Agamben in Il Regno e la Gloria, three correlative theses: 1) western politics is psychopolitical from its inception; 2) psychopolitics has been built upon the superiority of life (the psyche as the breath of life) and a corresponding inclusive exclusion of the eidolon (the psyche as image of the dead); and 3) we owe Plato the paradigmatic rendering of this process since he equates the psyche with the living essence of human beings and the politics with the government of the living.
