AB  - En este trabajo se analiza el ejercicio retórico del relato (diégema) en la novela Calírroe desde el punto de vista de los "elementos constitutivos" (stoicheia) y "virtudes" (aretaí) que para el mismo describen los Progymnasmata. Se resalta la rentabilidad del ejercicio del relato en la novela y que se siguen las recomendaciones de los Progymnasmata, sin menoscabo de la faceta creativa del autor y de sus rasgos estilísticos y compositivos.
AB  - In this paper the rhetorical exercise of "narrative" (diégema) in the novel Callirhoe is analysed from the point of view of the "constituents" (stoicheia) and "virtues" (aretaí) described in the Progymnasmata. The usefulness of the rhetorical exercise of narrative in the novel is highlighted. We reach the conclusion that the recommendations of the Progymnasmata are followed without undermining the creativity of the author or his stylistic and compositional features
