| Resumen: | En este artículo pretendemos mostrar que en ; Los orígenes del totalitarismo ;, Hannah Arendt realiza una crítica aguda de la modernidad, analizando las prácticas y los sistemas de pensamiento que contribuyeron a hacer posible su advenimiento. A lo largo de este recorrido, incluso la filosofía, que en un principio parecería no ocupar un lugar destacado en la comprensión del fenómeno totalitario, se presenta con cuotas relevantes de responsabilidad. Sin embargo, esta inscripción del totalitarismo en la modernidad, no impide que Arendt pueda dar cuenta de su terrible singularidad, por lo que resulta necesario dilucidar las líneas de continuidades y discontinuidades entre modernidad y totalitarismo In this paper we intend to show that Hannah Arendt's book on totalitarianism constitutes a radical criticism of modernity and we analyze the practices and systems of thought that made possible the advent of this regime. Even the philosophy, which initially seems not figure prominently in the understanding of the totalitarian phenomenon, is presented with relevant assessments of responsibility. However, this inscription of totalitarianism in modernity, it does not preclude that Arendt can give account of their terrible singularity, which makes necessary to analyze the lines of continuities and discontinuities between modernity and totalitarianism |
