AB  - Si bien el extenso comentario de Servio a la obra virgiliana despertó sospechas en cuanto a la veracidad de sus afirmaciones, actualmente, el caudal de información transmitido por el grammaticus tardío resulta más comprensible desde una "construcción" historicista. En función de la insistencia serviana por cuestionar la verosimilitud del relato épico, los objetivos del presente trabajo consisten en analizar algunos de los instrumentos exegéticos que se despliegan en torno a Eneas y las relaciones con la historia romana, sin desestimar que el propio comentarista se enfrenta a un texto poético, el cual no debe atenerse a la rigidez de la historia
AB  - While the extensive commentary of Servius to the Virgilian work aroused suspicion as to the veracity of its affirmations, at present, the amount of information transmitted by the late grammarian is more understandable from a historicist "construction". Depending on the Servian insistence in questioning the credibility of the epic tale, the objectives of this work are to analyze some of the exegetical instruments that unfold around Aeneas and the relations with Roman history, without underestimating that the commentator himself faces a poetic text, which should not adjust to the rigidity of history
