AB  - El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar un horizonte sentimental e identitario alternativo al grupo coral oficial a través del zócalo discursivo de los sainetes gauchescos, de los cielitos y de los diálogos patrióticos de fines del siglo XVIII y principios del XIX y otras fuentes pertinentes. La utilización irónica de la emergente literatura gauchesca se hizo a veces subversiva de los valores revolucionarios, con valores modulados de manera diferente de lo que la política y la ideología "correcta" indicaban acerca de lo que constituían la civilización y la barbarie. Cuando la discusión sobre la asignación de sentido acerca de este sintagma se tornó imposible, los sainetes desaparecieron de la escena pública rioplatense. <strong>Palabras clave</strong>: Historia de los sentimientos- Identidades culturales alternativas rioplatenses. AB  - The intention of this work is to study the cultural identity in the appearance of the gauchesca literature (1780-1828).  For doing that, the article looks through the frame of the "sainetes gauchescos", "the "cielitos" and the "patriotic dialogues" and other sources, the horizon and feelings of belonging of a group, which reveals an identity and social culture different from the official choral version. The ironic use of the <strong>syntagma</strong> "civilization and barbarism" marks a clear counterpoint between the politically correct ideas of that time about what "civilization and barbarism" was and to whom should be assigned until this subversive use became impossible.
