AB  - En este artículo nos proponemos caracterizar las tradiciones metodológicas que han prevalecido en la producción científica en educación. Para ello se presenta un análisis de la relación entre investigación y formación docente, revisando las diferentes tradiciones o enfoques que se observan en este terreno y su relación con el desarrollo profesional docente. Esto lleva a analizar las regulaciones normativas sobre la oferta de la formación inicial así como la formación continua. Consecuentemente, realizamos un análisis de la investigación y la formación docente. También nos referiremos a la investigación en educación y las diferentes tradiciones o posturas que podemos encontrar en este terreno. Finalmente, discutiremos esta función en relación con la profesionalización docente
AB  - This article focuses on the methodological influences on educational research. We analyze the relationship between research and teacher training. At the same time, we take into account the different traditions regarding educational research and teacher professional training. This approach implies studying the normative regulation on teacher training. Then, we study the teacher research. We also analyze the educational research and the several traditions regarding this area. Thus, we discuss the institutional research function in relationship with teacher professionalization
