AB  - Mediante el estudio de la tradición americana del romance de La esposa infiel, se resalta la importancia que en dicho romance tiene la lucha, por el desciframiento y el encubrimiento de indicios, librada entre el hombre y la mujer. A partir de tal planteo, se propone que su núcleo de interés radica en la problemática del engaño en general y la necesidad de descubrirlo.
AB  - By studying the American tradition of the romance of La esposa infiel stands out the importance attributed in this romance to the struggle waged between man and woman concerning the deciphering and concealment of clues. Based on this layout, it is proposed that the nucleus of interest of the romance lies on the problematics of deceit in general and the necessity of disclosing it.
